The Behavioral Health Department of DuBois Regional Medical Center provides comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care through the Behavioral Medicine Center located on Beaver Drive in DuBois. Staffed by psychiatrists, psychologists and clinical social workers, the program offers psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychological assessment, and individual and family psychotherapy to senior adults, adolescents and children.

General Psychiatrists
Scott Turkin, MD has been a staff psychiatrist with DRMC since 1997 and the Medical Director for Behavioral Health since 2001. He is a board certified psychiatrist and was elected a Fellow in the American Psychiatric Association. In 2003 he became a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the same year founded the DRMC Psychiatric Research Department which has participated in over 10 clinical trials to date. He was elected to be a member of the Board of Councilors of the International Society for Bipolar Disorders from 2005-2007. He has been an examiner for the Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, helping to decide who becomes board certified in his specialty. He also served as a reviewer for the journal Bipolar Disorders. He prides himself on treating the full gamut of psychiatric disorders, with special interest in mood and thought disorders, in which he has been a co-author in peer-reviewed scientific publications. He also has much interest in holistic and complementary medicine and was trained extensively in California and China in acupuncture. Other intersts include meditation and mindfulness therapy as well as the role of exercise in treating psychiatric disorders. Dr. Turkin has served on several hospital committees including the QMT committee since 2001 and the P&T committee, which he chairs.


Scott Turkin
Manish Sapra , MD was born and raised in India. He went to medical school at Seth G. S. Medical College, University of Bombay, India. Dr. Sapra obtained Residency Training at Department of Psychiatry, Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Boston (affiliated to Tufts University). Dr. Sapra was Chief Resident during his last year of Residency.  Dr. Sapra was Medical Director at Clearfield Jefferson Community Mental Health Center prior to moving to DRMC. Dr. Sapra is board certified in Psychiatry. He works both in the Inpatient unit and outpatient department. He is also active in behavioral health research at DRMC.

Child/Adolescent Psychiatrists
Edgar Gantalao, MD joined the DRMC Behavioral Health staff in 2002. Dr. Gantalao attended Medical School at the West Visayas State University College of Medicine at Iloilo City, Philippines. He completed his General Psychiatry Residency at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine (1997 - 2000). Dr. Gantalao also completed a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine (2000 - 2002) . He was the Chief Resident in the program in the (2001-2002) training year. Dr. Gantalao specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents.

Adult and Geriatric Psychiatrists
Brad Bobrin, MD joined the Behavioral Health Department in November, 2004. He was born in Philadelphia and graduated from Lafayette College (Biology) and from the Hahnemann University Medical School. Dr. Bobrin did a two year internship in Pediatrics at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, OH, and later completed a residency in psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, MA. After completing the psychiatric residency, Dr. Bobrin also completed one year of extra training in Consult-Liaison psychiatry at Cambridge Hospital in Cambridge, MA. As well as a year of extra training in Geriatric psychiatry at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens, NY. Dr. Bobrin's specialties are the medical causes of psychiatric illness and the mental health issues associated with medical illness and the mental health of older adults. Dr. Bobrin is trained in ECT ("shock therapy"). Dr. Bobrin practices in the Behavioral Health Center's Adult outpatient department and will provide consultation services to some of the area's nursing homes.

Nelia San Jose, MD was born and raised in the Philippines. She obtained her B.S. in Psychology from the University of the Philippines and her medical degree from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center. Dr. San Jose started residency training in Psychiatry at the National Center for Mental Health until 1993 when she migrated to the US to join her family. She completed her Psychiatric Residency Training at the St. Vincent's Medical Center in Staten Island, New York and joined DRMC in 1999. Since then, Dr. San Jose has been a general psychiatrist at the Adult In-Patient Unit as well as the Out-Patient Clinic and is board-certified in Psychiatry. She had been the Medical Director for Adult In-Patient Services since 2004 but continues to see patients in the out-patient clinic as well as the DRMC Research Dept.

John W. Lobb, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist who has been employed at the DuBois Regional Medical Center since 1981. Dr. Lobb earned a Bachelor's Degree in Individual and Family Studies from The Pennsylvania State University, a Masters Degree in Counseling from Slippery Rock State University, and a Doctoral Degree in Health Psychology from Walden University. Dr. Lobb is the supervisor of DRMC's Behavioral Health Center and provides assessment and therapy services to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults. His areas of interest include mood and anxiety disorders, health-related concerns, family conflicts, and substance abuse problems.

Autumn Keefer, Ph.D.
is a Licensed Psychologist who has a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Doctorate Degree in Counseling Psychology, both from Indiana State University. She interned at the Missouri Health Sciences Consortium in Columbia, Missouri and received fellowship training in Health Psychology at the Memphis VA Medical Center. Dr. Keefer's specialty area of practice is health psychology, including helping individuals and families cope with chronic and acute physical illnesses, cognitive testing, and smoking cessation, as well as couple and family therapy. Dr. Keefer joined the Behavioral Health Department in 2004.

Heather Meyers, PA-C, MHS joined the Behavioral Health staff at DRMC in July of 2007.  She was born and raised in Bellefonte, Pa then attended Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania where she obtained her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Science in 2005.  She continued her education at Lock Haven University and earned her Master’s degree in Health Science- physician assistant in 2007.  Heather is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants.  She sees patients in the Behavioral Health Adult inpatient unit and the outpatient departments as well as the DRMC Psychiatric Research Department.

Mark Stoltz, LCSW has a Master's Degree in social work from the University of Pittsburgh. He moved to DuBois in 1993. Prior to that time Mark was engaged in Private practice in Steubenville, OH. Mark has been employed by DRMC's Behavioral Health Department since 1998. He is available for individual, marital and family therapy. Mark has a particular interest in receiving referrals from those seeking Christian counseling.

James Brem, LCSW
is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who attended college at the University of Pittsburgh (Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a Master of Social Work). Jim joined DRMC's Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Center team in 2004. Prior to this opportunity, Jim worked with both children and adults at Dickinson Mental Health Center in Ridgway. Jim has experience practicing both individual and family therapy.

David M. Kosko M.A-L.P.C; C.A.C. is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Addictions Counselor. He is a graduate of Penn State University and Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. Dave jpined DRMC's Inpatient Adolescent Behavioral Health Program in December 1994 and began working part-time at the Behavioral Health Center in July 1995. Prior to this Dave was employed for 17 years as a Mental Health Counselor for Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries in Clearfield, PA. In February 2005 Dave will enter his 30th year in the counseling profession. He works both with children, adolescents and adults, with a special interest in family therapy, chemical dependence issues and issues of the families of the chemically dependent.

Seema Chaubey , MA , LPC joined the Behavioral Health Outpatient Department on April 13, 2006 as a licensed professional counselor. She Relocated to DuBois in November of 2005 with her husband. Seema w as born and raised in India and received a Bachelor's degree in English Literature with minor in Psychology from Lady Brabourne College in Kolkata, India, a Master in English Literature from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India and a Master of Arts from Indiana University of PA in Student Affairs in Higher Education from the Counseling Department in 1991. Seema has been a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors since 2002. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2003, with special focus on mood and anxiety disorders for adolescents and adults. Seema's area of interest include individual, family and marital therapy with focus on issues related to mood, anxiety, marriage, parenting, and multiculturism.
