Sherry Murphy, RN, BSN, CNS Sherry obtained a masters degree in psychiatric and mental health nursing in 1989 and subsequently was certified as a clinical nurse specialist in this field. After serving almost 23 years in the United States Army Nurse Corps, Sherry retired to her hometown and joined the DRMC Behavioral Health staff in 1995. She has worked both the inpatient and outpatient settings and has been a member of the behavioral health department of research since 2003. In this capacity she has coordinated research studies with the University of Pittsburgh and multiple pharmaceutical companies. Sherry also is a participant in the Behavioral Health Women’s Initiative and has organized a group for antepartum/postpartum women. Sherry currently is accepting referrals for individual and family therapy.
